Emory's Homecoming and Alumni weekend gives you the opportunity to connect with former and current faculty, visit with friends, meet the next generation of nursing leaders, and learn what's new at the School of Nursing.

Join Emory Nursing's Amy Dorrill MBA, FAHP, CFRE, Associate Dean of Development and Alumni Relations for a special presentation to learn more about the rich history of the School of Nursing, our ties to Coca-Cola, and our namesake Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Sponsored by the Nurses' Alumni Association, this event is open to everyone in the School of Nursing community - students, faculty, and staff! Participate in a class and panel discussing featuring Emory Nursing alumni leaders.

Celebration Reception & Dinner

Celebrate your ties to Emory Nursing during a festive evening full of entertainment, memories, and opportunities to connect with classmates, faculty, colleagues, students, and friends.
$50 per person, $25 per person for current students and recent graduates (2007-2017)

Homecoming Intramural 5K Run through Lullwater Park

The walk/run will begin outside the Student Activity & Academic Center and run through Lullwater Park. All those interested are encouraged to register online. The run is hosted by Powerade and the Emory Alumni Association.

No charge.

School of Nursing Alumni, Student, Faculty, & Staff Family Picnic

Sunday, October 22 | 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Wild Heaven Beer, 135 Maple Steet B, Decatur, GA 30030

Bring your family and friends and join your favorite current and retired nursing faculty for a casual afternoon at the brewery with delicious food, refreshments, and lawn games. 

Each registration includes one drink and BBQ lunch per person. (ID required for alcohol) $10 per person, free for children 10 and under.

Each year, the Nurses’ Alumni Association (NAA) honors alumni and friends who are committed to the key values and missions of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing (NHWSN) and NAA:

  • The mission of Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is to educate nurse leaders and scholars, generate new knowledge, and improve health and health care, all in service to the global community.
  • NAA’s mission is to advance the school’s mission by promoting lifelong relationships among alumni and strengthening their connection to the school through social, professional and philanthropic opportunities.
  • The awards are presented during Homecoming weekend. Please review the criteria below and nominate a classmate, colleague or friend who has meant much to the profession and to the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
