Emory's Homecoming and Alumni weekend gives you the opportunity to connect with former and current faculty, visit with friends, meet the next generation of nursing leaders, and learn what's new at the School of Nursing. 

Save the Weekend of October 20-22, 2017 for Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. All Alumni are invited to attend. View the 2016 Schedule below for a sample of the activites you can expect. More details to come Summer 2017.

The Journey to Nursing Leadership Alumni Panel

Participate in a class and panel discussing featuring Emory Nursing alumni leaders.
No charge. 

Cookies and Conversation (with optional tour of building & simulation lab)

Enjoy snacks and dessert while mixing and mingling with current student leaders and fellow alumni at this casual event.

Celebration Reception & Dinner

Friday, September 23 | 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Druid Hills Golf Club
Celebrate your ties to Emory Nursing during a festive evening full of entertainment, memories, and opportunities to connect with classmates, faculty, colleagues, students, and friends.
$50 per person, $25 per person for current students and recent graduates (2006-2016)

Homecoming Intramural 5K Run through Lullwater Park

Saturday, September 24 | Onsite Registration 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. 

The walk/run will begin outside the Student Activity & Academic Center and run through Lullwater Park. All those interested are encouraged to register online. The run is hosted by Powerade and the Emory Alumni Association.
No charge.

Emory Street Eats Food Truck Park

Saturday, September 24 | 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Asbury Circle
Join Emory alumni and students for lunched served up by popular Atlanta food trucks.
Pay for food at each truck.

Homecoming Parade, Festival, and Concert

Saturday, September 24 | 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
McDonough Field & Asbury Circle
Play games, eat food, and have fun for all ages while watching the parade and enjoying the concert to follow. Artist to be announced soon.
No charge.

School of Nursing Alumni, Student, Faculty, & Staff Family Picnic

Sunday, September 25 | 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Mason Mill Park
Bring your family and friends and join your favorite current and retired nursing faculty and instructors, including Corrine Abraham, Sara Edwards, Sally Lehr, Jane Mashburn, Darla Ura, and more for a casual afternoon at the park with delicious food, refreshments, and lawn games.
$5 per person, free for children 10 and under

Each year, the Nurses’ Alumni Association (NAA) honors alumni and friends who are committed to the key values and missions of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing (NHWSN) and NAA:

  • The mission of Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is to educate nurse leaders and scholars, generate new knowledge, and improve health and health care, all in service to the global community.
  • NAA’s mission is to advance the school’s mission by promoting lifelong relationships among alumni and strengthening their connection to the school through social, professional and philanthropic opportunities.
