Nurse Planner Role and Responsibilities

Professional Requirements:
  • Current Georgia RN license 
  • Educational level:  Baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing
  • Current employment in good standing at Emory Healthcare or Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing
Term as Nurse Planner: 
  • Two years
  • May be extended at the discretion of the ENPDC Governance Committee
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Attending Nurse Planner meetings twice annually
  • Collaborating with Lead Nurse Planner or Resource Nurse Planner to assure accurate paperwork for CNE activities
  •  Maintaining current competency as Nurse Planner 
    • Demonstrating active involvement of CNE activity planning by:
      • Attending CNE activity planning committee meetings
        Overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CNE activities
      • Ensuring appropriate educational design principles are utilized
      • Adhering to ANCC guidelines for quality and unbiased CNE activity planning
      • Assimilating accurate documentation of the activity planning committee meetings and CNE activity to include:
        • CNE activity documentation form
        • Conflict of Interest documentation for planning committee members and speakers
        • Attendee lists
        • Evaluation summary 
  • Assuring one content expert participates in CNE activity planning
  •  Submitting documentation of activity planning committee meetings and CNE activity to ENPDC
