Pinning and White Coat Ceremony
The wearing of the nursing pin is a privilege earned by graduates of nursing programs across the country. It is a symbol of the practice of nursing and the educational preparation of the wearer. The School of Nursing Pinning Ceremony honors students who have completed the undergraduate portion of their degree program.
The White Coat Ceremony is designed to instill a comitment to providing compassionate care among future health professionals and honors students who are beginning their advanced practice degree programs.
During this event, AMSN students who have recently completed the BSN portion of their degree program will receive their nursing pin. After receiving their nursing pin, these students will also participate in the traditional White Coat Ceremony in recognition of beginning the MSN portion of their degree program.
