Kareena is a passionate advocate for women's health and empowerment.  Having been a Labor and Delivery Nurse for over ten years and a nurse for 16 years, she joined the research team at Emory's School of Nursing as a Clinical Research Coordinator.   Working in research has provided the opportunity to help develop and disseminate live saving information that will support Black pregnant people in the Metro-Atlanta area, and hopefully the nation.  Kareena received her Masters in Nursing Administration in 2020 and looks forward to where this new chapter will lead.  An avid hobbyist with photography and hiking, she enjoys traveling, audio books and spending time with her husband and three sons.
