About

Trina is an innate and developed leader and nurturer with 30 years of diverse expertise in acute care nursing practice, public health, academia, and research. Her progressive leadership abilities and experiences over the past decade have interwoven organizational and personal mission, vision, and values to advance nursing excellence in healthcare organizations. In her current position as director for nursing leadership and development at Emory Healthcare (EHC), Trina applies her strengths in education, role development, collaborative partnerships, and inquiry to engage nurses in transformative, innovative, and evidence-based leadership and caring sciences. She is an adjunct instructor for Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing (NHWSN); co-director for Emory University's Goizueta Business School/Emeritus executive leadership programs; and executive sponsor, leader, or member of several councils and workgroups. Publications and presentations highlight her focused attention to leadership, professional development, well-being, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. Trina is a native of Philadelphia, PA and cultivates her own self-care through faith, family, travel, and reading. In addition to numerous professional affiliations, she is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
