Dr. Marissa Terry is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, where she brings extensive experience in pediatric acute care nursing and education. 

Dr. Terry maintains an active clinical practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, where she has served since 2019, specializing in pediatric general surgery and trauma care. Her professional journey includes significant experience at multiple prestigious children's hospitals, where she developed comprehensive expertise in acute pediatric care with a focus on delivering patient-centered, equitable healthcare.

As a dedicated educator, Dr. Terry coordinates and teaches multiple courses at Emory NHWSON, demonstrating her commitment to developing the next generation of nurses and pediatric nurse practitioners. She actively contributes to advancing nursing education through her participation in multiple fellowships, including Emory's Course Design and Pedagogy Fellows Program and the NHWSON Equity, and Inclusion Fellowship, where she works to enhance teaching methodologies and promote inclusive education practices. 

Her involvement in professional organizations, including the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA), reflects her ongoing commitment to advancing the field of pediatric nursing education and practice, with a particular emphasis on promoting equitable healthcare delivery across diverse patient populations. She currently serves as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), further demonstrating her dedication to advancing health equity in pediatric care.
