Pre-Award Grant Services

ONR/RAD Support Services

After completing the Proposal Initiation Form, schedule a proposal preparation meeting with your Research Administration Department (RAD) Pre-Award Administrator. In this meeting, you may review the proposal guidelines and mutually agree on target due dates for when specific budget and grant information will be provided. Download the Grant Proposal Submission Timeline below.

For any Research Administration Department (RAD) related questions, please contact Selena McBride at selena.e.mcbride@emory.edu

Budget Planning

Reviewers will look for a reasonable budget based on the needs of your research program. We can help you create a budget for your project. To begin working with the Office of Nursing Research, please complete the Proposal Initiation Form (PIF).

Editorial Support

Editorial support services include copy editing, formatting to agency guidelines, and analysis of the content and flow of the proposal. To begin working with the Office of Nursing Research, please complete the Proposal Initiation Form (PIF).

Mock Review

Mock Review sessions are provided to allow PhD students, and Post Doctoral Fellows to receive detailed feedback on a grant proposal they're working on and to gain insight into the standard review process at funding agencies. Data Management Core

To begin working with the Data Management team, please complete the Proposal Initiation Form (PIF).

Biostatistics Core ‍

Members of our statistical support team advise on the statistical aspects of proposals or current projects. For R-level awards, percentage effort for a PhD statistician is generally expected by the funding agency. To begin working with the Office of Nursing Research, please complete the Proposal Initiation Form (PIF).

Laboratory Core

Laboratory support is provided if you are including collection of biological samples in your research protocol. If you are including collection of biological samples in your research protocol, please complete the Proposal Initiation Form to implement the plan

Identification of Funding Opportunities

The Funding Opportunity Announcements Database will now be powered by Grant Forward. This will allow the ONR to disseminate grants targeting relevant researchers, and connect them into collaboration networks across all Emory Units. For a demonstration on Grant Forward and/or one-on-one assistance with your FOA search, please contact Jessica Abrams

Workshops & Seminars

The ONR hosts workshops and/or seminars in order to promote research and scholarship success. To watch previous Research Roundtable presentations, please follow the Office of Nursing Research YouTube Channel.
