Artificial intelligence (AI) and associated computational sciences (machine learning, natural language processing, cyber security, robotics, etc.) are fundamentally changing the healthcare landscape. Accompanying these changes are tremendous opportunities as well as profound ethical concerns and social impacts. With its emphasis on multidisciplinary research, nursing science is positioned to broaden the use of AI and related fields in investigations integrating biological and behavioral sciences emphasizing patient-centered rather than disease-specific outcomes. This emerging field requires new methods, tools, skills, and the ability for researchers to apply these methods to address new questions. The goal of the Nursing AI in Training (NAIT) program at Emory’s School of Nursing is to develop nurse scientists who will use AI and associated computation sciences in research integrating biological and behavioral data to improve health outcomes.
All virtual open house events will take place Tuesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. EST on Zoom. Use the links below to register.
